Surella Segú is an architect specializing in housing, urbanism, public policy, and climate resilience. A Loeb Fellow at Harvard and Columbia University graduate, she has led 200+ regeneration projects driving social and environmental innovation.
As Chief Heat Officer in Monterrey with the Arsht-Rockefeller Foundation, she advanced strategies to cool cities and protect communities. As advisor to Mexico’s Ministry of Urban Development, she promoted urban interventions and habitat improvement.
Currently a visiting professor at Rhode Island School of Design, she bridges design, policy, and sustainability with a Latin American vision and global reach. Her work highlights the power of design to build equitable, climate-resilient communities.
